For Pete's Sake

At parade, Chiefs offensive linemen touted their zero-sack Super Bowl performance

The Chiefs offensive linemen didn’t need to look at a stat sheet after Super Bowl LVII to know what they had accomplished on Sunday.

Philadelphia entered the Super Bowl with a chance to tie the NFL record for sacks in a season, a mark held by the mighty 1985 Chicago Bears.

Chiefs left tackle Orlando Brown told The Star’s Herbie Teope what happened in the game: “We showed up and showed out, man. Zero sacks.”

Brown later tweeted that he wanted 0 sacks put on a T-shirt (I took out the expletive in that social-media message).

At the Super Bowl parade, Brown wore a T-shirt with that tweet.

Center Creed Humphrey and guard Trey Smith wore shirts that simply said: 0 Sacks.
