For Pete's Sake

Patrick Mahomes, wearing WWE belt, greeted Chiefs fans and soaked up parade experience

The buses stopped frequently during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday.

That’s because players left the bus and greeted fans who lined both sides of Grand Boulevard. Kicker Harrison Butker and tight end Travis Kelce signed autographs at various times and some players handed cans of beer to fans. Many others simply offered a high-five to Chiefs Kingdom.

Not that it’s a concern any longer, but Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ ankle seemed fine as he zigged and zagged across the street to greet fans at one point during the parade.

When on the bus, Mahomes danced and showed off his Super Bowl MVP award to the fans.

Mahomes also wore the WWE championship belt that he had on hours after the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII.

Brittany Mahomes shared these great photos from the bus.

And here are other highlights from Mahomes at the championship parade, including Mahomes catching a glimpse of a TV camera and acting like a kid.

At one point, Mahomes downed a beer on the bus as quarterbacks coach Matt Nagy gave a helping hand.

Here is when Mahomes greeted fans on the parade route.
