After the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, coach Andy Reid had a hankering for burnt ends.

When he returned to Kansas City from Miami, Reid visited Q39 and got his barbecue fix.

This week, Reid brought another Lombardi Trophy back to KC after the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII.

When Reid returned from Arizona, he had another meal in mind: pizza.

During a news conference on Tuesday, Reid was asked by reporters what he did upon returning home.

“I went to Pizza 51,” Reid said. “That’s what I did. I got a mushroom-and-sausage pizza, how about that? And a salad just to make my chubbiness feel good.”

Reid has previously discussed his love for all the wonderful restaurants Kansas City has to offer, including his favorite spot for cheeseburgers.

If you’re a forkturian,” Reid said in 2020, “this is a good place to live because there are a lot of great food places.”

Anyone who lives in Kansas City knows that’s the truth.
