After injuries to kicker Harrison Butker and cornerback Trent McDuffie in the Chiefs’ season opener, coach Andy Reid blamed the “loose” field at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

For Sunday night’s Super Bowl LVII at the same venue, the field was different. A new playing surface was installed at Sate Farm Stadium at the reported cost of $800,000, but the same issues from Week 1 cropped up in the Super Bowl.

Here are some examples of the troubles players were having.

People watching were not happy about all of the issues with players slipping on the field, and they expressed their disgust. Here is a sample of what was being shared on Twitter from unhappy fans.
