For Pete's Sake

This was Mitch Holthus’ call of Travis Kelce’s game-winning TD for Chiefs on Sunday

How’s this for symmetry? Last season, the Chiefs moved 75 yards in 1 minute, 15 seconds and beat the Chargers on a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce.

On Sunday night, the Chiefs drove 75 yards in 1:15 and got the winning touchdown on a pass from Mahomes to Kelce.

And both games were at SoFi Stadium.

They’re not mirror images, as last year’s win was in overtime, with the Chiefs walking off against the Chargers on a 34-yard catch and run from Kelce.

On Sunday, the Chiefs scored with 31 seconds left in regulation on a 17-yard catch and run from Kelce.

Chargers fans have seen this show before, but it was still sweet for Chiefs Kingdom.

Mitch Holthus, the voice of the Chiefs, was certainly excited. KCSP (610 AM) shared Holthus’ call of the game-winning touchdown

Kelce went over 100 yards receiving with that winning touchdown, and it was the 33rd time he’s reached that mark. NFL Research noted Kelce passed Rob Gronkowski for the most 100-yard games by a tight end.
