Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is going to get a taste of what it’s like to be the one holding the microphone during an interview.

Kelce likely will be conducting interviews during Wednesday’s coverage of the ESPYS awards show on ESPN, the network announced.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will be host for the show from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The broadcast begins at 7 p.m., and Kelce will be “providing backstage coverage,” ESPN said.

Country music star Mickey Guyton will be the main performing act, while the Vibe All-Stars will be playing throughout the show.

Kansas City native Heidi Gardner of “Saturday Night Live” fame will be among the presenters.

Others expected to present are TV/movie stars (Dwayne Johnson, Jon Hamm, Aubrey Plaza and Hannah Waddingham), recording artists (Lil Wayne and Ciara), and current and former athletes (Billie Jean King, Derek Jeter, Megan Rapinoe, Aaron Rodgers, Lindsey Vonn and Russell Wilson).

The Chiefs and KU men’s basketball team are both up for an ESPY — for the best game.
