If he had his druthers, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa likely would have asked Miami’s social media team to not share that viral video from practice showing his underthrown pass to new receiver Tyreek Hill.

Tagovailoa was widely mocked for the pass, which Hill had to reach back to catch.

Hill, the speed burner who was traded by the Chiefs to the Dolphins earlier this year, previously defended Tagovailoa in a Twitter post. He apparently will do it again in his podcast, which debuts Friday.

A clip from the podcast was shown Monday on “Good Morning Football” on the NFL Network, and Hill referenced the Chiefs’ 26-23 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 3, 2019. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes missed the game as he recovered from a dislocated kneecap.

Matt Moore started in place of Mahomes and threw for 275 yards and a touchdown. Hill had 140 yards receiving and caught the TD pass from Moore.

“I just want people to understand that I went for 150 (yards) with Matt Moore as my quarterback — I love you Matt Moore — versus the Minnesota Vikings,” Hill said in the clip. “If you don’t remember that game, 150 and one touchdown with Matt Moore as my quarterback. And Tua T is 10 Matt Moores. I love Matt Moore, but Tua T is 10 Matt Moores.”

Hill also had perhaps his most impressive sprint as he caught Damien Williams on a 91-yard touchdown run.

Twitter user Bobby Shouse shared Hill’s highlights from that day.
