Former Royals star Eric Hosmer, Kacie McDonnell announce they’re having a baby boy
For Eric Hosmer, 2015 will always be a special year.
Not only did he help the Royals win the World Series that season, but he also met the woman who would become his wife.
Kacie McDonnell was a reporter for KSHB (Ch. 41) at that time, and the two met on Opening Day 2015. The couple was married in January with many of his former Royals teammates in attendance.
And now the couple is expecting a baby boy in September.
Kacie McDonnell Hosmer shared a video that shows her telling Hosmer, who is now in his fifth season with the San Diego Padres, they were having a boy. Hosmer learned he would have a son when the song “Boy” by Lee Brice was played by his bride.
