The Cincinnati Bengals used a Grim Reaper tweet to troll the Kansas City Chiefs
A week ago, Chiefs fans showed off their creative side after coach Andy Reid delivered a classic line to quarterback Patrick Mahomes: “When it’s grim, be the Grim Reaper.”
That led to a multitude of Grim Reaper memes from fans appearing on social media after the Chiefs beat the Bills 42-36 in overtime.
The Chiefs played another overtime playoff game on Sunday, but this one didn’t turn out as well. The Bengals rallied from an 18-point deficit and beat the Chiefs 27-24 in the extra period.
Instead of advancing to a third straight Super Bowl, the Chiefs are left to lament what might have been.
And it was the Bengals who had fun with the Grim Reaper on Twitter. Unfortunately for the Chiefs, this came at their expense as the Bengals quoted the Blue Oyster Cult song.
The Bengals will face the Rams in Super Bowl LVI on Feb. 13 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
