For Pete's Sake

The win probability chart from KC Chiefs’ victory over LA Chargers is really nutty

In the fourth quarter of the Thursday night’s game against the Chiefs, the Chargers had a 93.1% chance at victory.

That was according to ESPN’s win probability chart, which naturally noted the Chiefs had a 100% chance of victory after Travis Kelce’s elusive touchdown catch and run in overtime.

There were some pretty wild swings in the game, as each team was stopped near the end zone, had turnovers and also had quick touchdown drives.

Lee Sharpe of NFL Game Data shared his own win probability chart, which shows just how crazy things got in the fourth quarter.

Chargers fans will be left to lament what could have been as for much of the second half it appeared Los Angeles would win.

A lot information is shared after the third quarter of of this chart. In fact, there was so much that the chart didn’t reach 100% for the Chiefs’ chances of winning after Kelce’s score.
