Tech N9ne will be the drum honoree for Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs-Raiders game
The Chiefs have tabbed a lifelong fan to be the drum honoree before Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.
This particular fan also wrote an anthem that should be familiar to Chiefs. It’s rapper Tech N9ne’s “Red Kingdom” song.
“My uncle has been taking me to the Chiefs since I was 4 years old,” Tech N9ne told The Star’s Katie Bernard at Super Bowl LIV. “I was always there as a kid and I’m here as an adult and I’m glad and so proud that I’m here to witness this history being made in my lifetime.”
Before kickoff at 12:02 p.m. on Sunday, Tech N9ne will be on the GEHA Deck and will bang the drum to fire up fans for the game.
Kameron Marlowe, a former contestant on “The Voice” and a country singer, will perform the national anthem. There is also will be a flyover of four T-38s from Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma, the Chiefs said.
Additionally, the Chiefs will honor the Missouri and Kansas high school state football champions at halftime.
