For Pete's Sake

Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes continues to show wizardry on two-point conversions

There were quite a few great plays by the Chiefs in Sunday’s 23-20 overtime win against the Chargers.

Patrick Mahomes’ stunning 54-yard touchdown strike to Tyreek Hill. Harrison Butker’s three 58-yard field goals (one was after a Chargers timeout). Tyrann Mathieu’s perfectly timed defensive play in the end zone.

But don’t forget about the two-point conversion from Mahomes to receiver Mecole Hardman.

Kent Swanson of Arrowhead Pride shared this photo that showed what Mahomes was looking at when he released the ball:

Here is the play:

This is another look at the play from Twitter user Sully Engels:

This wasn’t the first time Mahomes made something out of nothing on a conversion attempt.

Mahomes also worked his magic on a two-point conversion last season in the snow against the Broncos. Remember when Mahomes asked if he looked like the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson?

It came on this conversion:

In 2018, Mahomes also made a great juke move on a two-point conversion against the Seahawks. Here is that run (if the video doesn’t play, click this link):
