Chiefs’ Tyrann Mathieu gave a finger wag after touchdown-saving play in end zone

The Chargers jumped on the Chiefs early in Sunday’s game at SoFi Stadium.

Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert got the start in place of the injured Tyrod Taylor and capped a six-play, 79 yard drive with a 4 yard touchdown run.

The Chargers got the ball back and drove to the Chiefs’ 39-yard line. On first down, Herbert dropped back and threw a nice pass to LA receiver Mike Williams in the end zone. It appeared Williams was open, but Chiefs defensive back Tyrann Mathieu perfectly timed his jump and knocked the ball away.

Mathieu then gave a finger wag to Williams, who was on the ground in the end zone. It was a terrific defensive play:
