Chiefs give cool gift to liquor store worker who broke story of Mahomes’ extension

Sunday was a big day for Katie Camlin.

Camlin’s story of breaking the news of quarterback Patrick Mahomes monster extension with the Chiefs was featured on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown.” Camlin also shared on Twitter that she received a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne from the Chiefs.

That’s a perfect gift for Camlin, who works at Plaza Liquors. She was on the job in July when a Chiefs employee stopped by the store and bought six bottles of Dom Perignon.

Camlin deduced that the Mahomes deal was done and she tweeted the news, scooping everyone in the world. What makes the Chiefs’ gift all the better is Mahomes and defensive lineman Chris Jones autographed it:
