For Pete's Sake

Rock chalk, Jayhawk ... dust. Coastal Carolina sledgehammers KU chant painted on stone

Apparently the Coastal Carolina football team brings props when it travels to Lawrence.

A year ago, the Chanticleers destroyed a Jayhawk piñata after defeating Kansas 12-7 at Booth Memorial Stadium.

On Saturday/Sunday morning, Coastal Carolina’s victory came easier as it won 38-23 in Lawrence. To celebrate, Chanticleers brought out a stone with the words, “Rock Chalk, Jayhawk” painted on it.

Here is the video, which Zane Cruz, a defensive graduate assistant at Coastal Carolina, tweeted:

Cruz also called Booth Memorial Stadium “our field” after last season’s win.
