For Pete's Sake

Former Chargers running back Melvin Gordon notes the team doesn’t have many fans

The fact that Chiefs fans have turned Chargers home games into Arrowhead West wasn’t lost on running back Melvin Gordon.

Gordon, who signed with the Denver Broncos in March, was interviewed by former 49ers/Texans cornerback Marcus Cromartie, who asked what it would be like to play in empty stadiums because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“We didn’t have fans anyway,” Gordon said with a laugh.

“I’ll be honest, we didn’t have many Chargers fans at the game. Much loyalty, love, but we didn’t have many (fans). So I’m not missing anything.”
