Clyde Edwards-Helaire on Chiefs Kingdom: ‘It’s literally the best fanbase’ in the NFL
New Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire talked with Fox 2 (KTVI) of St. Louis this week, and talked about his excitement about about playing at Arrowhead Stadium.
Edwards-Helaire, who was taken with the No. 32 pick in last month’s NFL Draft, was asked what fans can expect.
“Get ready, you’re going to see a lot of that 2-5 jersey and I’m going to make some things happen and bring some excitement to Arrowhead Stadium, a little bit more excitement than it already was, just a tad bit,” Edwards-Helaire told KTVI. “Ultimately, you’re getting a hard worker and that’s the biggest part.”
Edwards-Helaire is looking forward to playing in front of Chiefs fans.
“Chiefs Kingdom, it can’t be matched,” he said. “It’s literally the best fanbase in the National Football League.”
Edwards-Helaire is represented by agent Rocky Arceneaux of St. Louis. His other clients include some of the NFL greats: Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk and Ezekiel Elliott.
Fox 2’s Martin Kilcoyne noted that Faulk and Edwards-Helaire are both Louisiana natives who were first-round picks.
“Being able to be compared to him it doesn’t get better than that. He’s literally one of the best, if not the best, running back to play in the NFL,” Edwards-Helaire told KTVI. “High praise, so I’ve just got to back it up and make it happen.”
