For Pete's Sake

Jersey numbers have been assigned to the Chiefs’ 2020 rookie class

Among the players who have worn No. 25 for the Chiefs are Mark Collins, Greg Wesley, Le’Sean McCoy and the biggest name of all: Jamaal Charles.

The latest to don that number will be rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

On Wednesday, the Chiefs shared a photo of the jersey numbers the team’s 2020 Draft class will be wearing this fall.

Cornerback BoPete Keyes will be No. 29, a number that has previously been worn by a couple of legendary Chiefs defensive backs: Eric Berry and Albert Lewis.

Defensive back L’Jarius Sneed will wear No. 38. Ron Parker, Kimble Anders and Wendell Hayes have donned that number in the past.

No. 50 will be worn by linebacker Willie Gay. The most famous No. 50 in Chiefs history is former linebacker Justin Houston. Others to wear No. 50 were Anthony Davis and Kawika Mitchell.

Defensive end Mike Danna has been assigned No. 51, which was worn by Jim Lynch, Charles Jackson and Frank Zombo.

Wearing No. 67 will be offensive lineman Lucan Niang. That number was worn by Art Still and Barry Richardson.
