Chiefs’ video shows how Patrick Mahomes made NFL Draft doubters eat crow
It’s hard to believe now that NFL Draft experts could think the Chiefs made a mistake picking quarterback Patrick Mahomes with the 10th overall pick in 2017.
In two full seasons as the Chiefs’ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes has won an NFL MVP award, a Super Bowl MVP and helped his team win the title game for the first time in 50 years.
Mahomes is the face of the NFL these days, but not everyone saw it coming.
Some NFL pundits believed Mahomes lacked proper footwork and was a gunslinger who took too many chances.
Those comments are in a video the Chiefs shared Wednesday on social media, along with when Mahomes was drafted, his first comments and some of the many accomplishments of the 24-year-old’s young career.
