For Pete's Sake

Pro wrestler tries to incite KC crowd by butchering Patrick Mahomes’ name, cursing him

My knowledge of professional wrestling is admittedly limited, but even I know it helps to energize the crowd before a match.

That can be done in a positive or negative way. On Wednesday, pro wrestler Chris Jericho took the low road during an All Elite Wrestling “Dynamite” show at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence.

This involved disparaging Kansas City’s favorite athlete, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Jericho also used some curse words, so be aware of that should you decide to continue reading.

It began during a weigh-in with Jericho and Jon Moxley. Jericho casually told the crowd: “Shut your ass!”

Fans responded by doing the “The Chop” and TNT cameras spotted some fans in Chiefs jerseys.

After a few seconds, Jericho grabbed the microphone and butchered Mahomes name and calling him a NSFW word:

Aaron Mahome? Well, whatever the case, Jericho’s schtick led to some fun comments on Twitter:

There’s a good kicker to this story. Jericho ended up needing stitches on his face after making fun of Mahomes when Moxley head-butted him at the weigh-in:
