Mic’d-up video from Super Bowl shows a great Andy Reid, Tyrann Mathieu interaction

During Chiefs games, network cameras often show coach Andy Reid sitting down next to quarterback Patrick Mahomes to discuss things on the sideline.

But the Chiefs shared a video of Tyrann Mathieu and Frank Clark mic’d-up during Super Bowl LIV, and it shows a key moment when Reid was talking with Mathieu. It came after the Chiefs took a 24-20 lead in the fourth quarter and the defense was being called upon to stop the 49ers.

While they didn’t sit down next to each other, Reid told Mathieu on the sideline: “Lead them. Lead them. That’s what you’re here for, man. Best in the business. Best in the business.”

Mathieu responded: “I got you.”

The defense held as San Francisco drove to the Chiefs 49 but was stopped there.
