In visit to Jimmy Kimmel, Damien Williams talks about his Super Bowl touchdowns
Chiefs running back Damien Williams didn’t sign anyone’s tattoo on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
That was what quarterback Patrick Mahomes did last year when visiting Kimmel’s show. However, Williams’ appearance on Monday was capped by giving actor/Chiefs fan Eric Stonestreet a postgame splash with a cooler.
Williams told Kimmel what he said to teammates before his 38-yard touchdown run that sealed a 31-20 win over the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV.
“I told my guys, they’re preaching first down, run the clock out. Nah, nah, nah. Touchdown and we seal it,” Williams said. “They can’t come back from that.”
Kimmel then showed a replay of Williams’ touchdown reception which was reviewed to see if he stepped out of bounds before reaching the end zone. It was upheld and the Chiefs took the lead in the fourth quarter.
“That’s some size 13s right there,” Williams joked. “Two sizes shorter and I’d have been good.”
