For Pete's Sake

Two players showed their support for the Chiefs during the NHL’s All-Star weekend

The NHL’s All-Star Game will be played Saturday night in St. Louis, but the league kicked off the weekend with some fun events on Friday.

A pair of St. Louis Blues players put the spotlight on the NFL as they showed their support for the Chiefs on Friday.

The Blues’ Ryan O’Reilly wore a Chiefs helmet during warmups at the NHL’s skills competition. To be clear, it wasn’t a Chiefs-themed hockey helmet. It was a Chiefs helmet.

NHL.com reported that Blues equipment manager Andrew Dvorak has worked for the Chiefs in the summer and planted the idea in O’Reilly’s mind.

“Figured I’d throw it on and give some support,” O’Reilly told NHL.com.

Take a look:

Blues goalie Jordan Binnington wore a Patrick Mahomes jersey at the NHL red carpet event on Friday. Then Binnington won the Save Streak challenge that night:

During last summer’s Stanley Cup Final, Mahomes showed support for the Blues (and his ability to down a beverage) at Game 3 in St. Louis.
