For Pete's Sake

Chiefs fans who ‘lent’ beers for Eric Fisher‘s celebration get much more in return

Little did Chiefs fans Alex Thompson and Troy Thompson know, but the two brews they purchased at Sunday’s AFC Divisional Playoff game turned into a whole lot of beers.

They were sitting in the end zone during the Chiefs’ 51-31 win over the Texans when tight end Blake Bell scored a touchdown and offensive lineman Eric Fisher joined the celebration.

“I ran over there to celebrate with Blake,” Fisher said in a video tweeted Friday by the Chiefs, “and I don’t know why but my eyes were just drawn to them and I was like OK, I’ve got to pick these up and then I was like, what do I do? Stone Cold!”

That’s a Stone Cold Steve Austin celebration and the video of Fisher went viral. Hours later, Fisher promised to repay the fans in “Big Fish style.”

That meant two game-worn Eric Fisher jerseys and two other jerseys from the Chiefs along with a heck of a lot of Budweiser and Bud Light.

Here is the video of Fisher meeting the Chiefs fans and their haul for sacrificing two beers:

Budweiser also shared this, which is a play on Austin’s 3:16 catchphrase:

If you missed the celebration, here it is:
