Um, whoops.

Graphic designer Mark Avery-Kenny has done some cool special logos in the past.

You may recall the mashup of the Star Wars-baseball logos and the NFL-Disney logos.

His newest venture is baseball logos that incorporate the area code where the team plays. This could be trouble for someone who doesn’t know the Kansas City area all that well, and it was. This was his post on Monday:

The feedback was brutal, so Avery-Kenny corrected his mistake on Thursday. In this post, he wrote, “If you’ve seen the allstar ballot lately you’d realize royals fans are a feisty passionate group.”
