Trail Blazers fans again show they hilariously don’t grasp basics of tic-tac-toe

We all understand how tic-tac-toe works, right?

The idea is to get three in a row before your opponent in a game that has been around for centuries. You knew that, right?

For some reason, the basics of the game eluded fans at a Portland Trail Blazers game for a second time this year. During Thursday’s Trail Blazers-New Orleans game, two fans took part in a tic-tac-toe game.

When each person made a layup, they grabbed either an X or an O, ran to a board on the middle of the court and and tried to get three in a row.

Those rules are simple. But, much like fans earlier this year, it wasn’t so simple after all:

I love the announcer’s exasperation (“That’s what happens here, I guess”), but it was nothing compared with earlier in the year:
