Sure, it wasn’t a good day for the Royals on Sunday.

Two losses in a span of a few hours is tough to swallow. But Alex Gordon showed once again why he’s the best defensive left fielder in baseball. He went into the stands to make a catch and even knocked over a White Sox fan.*

After the game, Gordon said of the play, “I just said, ‘Eff it’ and jumped into the stands.”

* There won’t be any suspensions coming out of that interaction.

Take a look (video from MLB.com):

A picture of Gordon on the ground after the catch by a fan in the right spot at the right time has made its way around the Internet and was even shown on TV.
