Last weekend in Chicago did not go well for the Royals.

They lost two of three, with Saturday’s postponed game moved to after the All-Star break. They fell to half a game behind Detroit in the American League Central.

And then, of course, the suspensions.

Seven games for Yordano Ventura. Five for Edinson Volquez. Two for Lorenzo Cain. Two for Kelvin Herrera.

All four players have appealed the bans from Major League Baseball resulting from Thursday night’s fight. The Royals won that game. They haven’t won since.

They head into Cleveland after two losses in a row, both of them completed on Sunday. And now they face a trio of talented Indians pitchers at Progressive Field.

Here are the pitching matchups for this three-game series:

Monday, 5:10 p.m.: LHP Jason Vargas (1-1, 6.75 ERA) vs. RHP Corey Kluber (0-2, 3.90 ERA).

Tuesday, 5:10 p.m.: RHP Jeremy Guthrie (1-1, 5.50 ERA) vs. RHP Trevor Bauer (2-0, 0.95 ERA).

Wednesday, 5:10 p.m.: RHP Yordano Ventura (2-1, 4.09 ERA) vs. RHP Danny Salazar (2-0, 2.08 ERA).
