It was all over unless the Vikings pulled off a miracle.

Then the Vikings pulled off a miracle thanks to arguably the worst defensive play in NFL history by the Saints’ Marcus Williams. Instead of simply tackling the Vikings’ Stefon Diggs in bounds and letting the clock run out, Williams lowered his shoulder and tried knock over Diggs.

Williams missed, knocked over his teammate, Diggs ran to the end zone for a 61-yard touchdown, and pro and college players across the country expressed their astonishment.
