Joe Buck mistakenly calls U.S. Open winner’s girlfriend by his ex’s name
Growing up outside of Chicago in the 1980s, I was able to watch every Cubs game on WGN, which meant I frequently heard Steve Stone corrections to calls that Harry Caray had gotten wrong.
However, I don’t remember Harry making a mistake like this. After Brooks Koepka won the U.S. Open on Sunday, he was met by his girlfriend, who kissed him, and it was shown on the Fox broadcast.
Fox announcer Joe Buck said: “His girlfriend, Becky Edwards, an all-American soccer player at Florida State.”
That led to color commentator Brad Faxon making this correction: “Joe, that’s actually his new girlfriend. That’s Jena Sims. They were all staying together this week.”

This did not go unnoticed by fans at home, particularly those who have been critical of Fox’s coverage since the network took over for CBS starting in 2015.
Say what you want about CBS, there's zero chance Nantz would have gotten Koepka's girlfriend's name wrong

Wait, Koepka has been leading for hours and Fox still misidentifies his girlfriend??? Are you kidding me?

LOL did they get Brooks Koepka's girlfriend's name wrong?

"Oh wait, that's his NEW girlfriend..." #USOpen2017
This undoubtedly is fresh ammunition for those who don’t like Joe Buck.
