What to know about going to Sporting KC home games: Tickets, bags & parking

Sporting KC kicked off their 2026 Major League Soccer season last week, and now they’re ready to welcome fans into the Blue Hell for the first time this year.

The team looks much different than years past. There’s a new head coach in Raphael Wicky and new players to support after the surprise trade of longtime forward Daniel Salloi. The stadium also has a different name, reverting back to Sporting Park after its 10-year agreement with Children’s Mercy expired.

The first game under Wicky didn’t go in Sporting’s favor, losing 3-0 to the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, Feb. 21. They’ll have a chance to rebound in front of the home crowd Saturday, Feb. 28, for their home opener.

Fans attending the first home game and future matches throughout the season will need to be aware of their surroundings inside the stadium, as construction is still underway for a 90,000-square-foot outdoor plaza that’ll be complete in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

How much do Sporting KC tickets cost?

Single game tickets to Sporting KC matches are available on SeatGeek, the team’s official ticket partner.

The cheapest price for games, including Saturday’s home opener, is $28 with fees. The ticket will place you in the general admission south stand, also known as The Cauldron, where Sporting KC’s superfan section can be found.

The cheapest price for Sporting KC’s next home game Saturday, March 7, against San Diego FC is also $29, but it’s located in section 132. Prices will fluctuate depending on the opponent, time and Sporting KC’s seasonal performance.

Sporting KC tickets are mobile-only and are accessed on SeatGeek’s app. Screenshots of tickets will not work, the team website says.

Where to park for Sporting KC games

Paid parking options for Sporting KC games are also available on SeatGeek, and cost $30 for a spot in the Blue Lot or $35 for a reserved spot in Nebraska Furniture Mart’s parking lot. Other lots, like the Hollywood Casino lot, are free.

For non-season ticket members, you can park at any of these spots:

  • Blue Lot 1 and 2
  • Nebraska Furniture Mart lot 2
  • Orange lot
  • Hollywood Casino lot

Season ticket members can park at any of those lots, and they also have the option for the following:

  • Nebraska Furniture Mart lot 1, which is only available to UMB Field Club season ticket members and suite ticket purchasers.
  • White Lot, which is available for season ticket holders.

Shuttles are available to take fans to and from the Hollywood Casino lot before and after the game.

The parking lots open three hours before kickoff and close two hours after the game ends. If your car is still in the lot then, it will be towed to the red lot near Nebraska Furniture Mart.
