Sporting KC forward Krisztian Nemeth named to Hungary men’s national team
Sporting Kansas City leading goal scorer Krisztian Nemeth was named to the Hungary men’s national team Wednesday, a call-up that will force him to miss one Sporting KC match.
Nemeth will join his home country on June 1, in advance of the team’s friendly against Lithuania on June 5, followed by a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier against Finland on June 13.
As a result, he will miss Sporting Kansas City’s match against Seattle on June 6.
Nemeth leads Sporting KC with five goals this season, which ranks second among first-year MLS players.
He has made 15 international appearances for Hungary.
