  • Chiefs listed Xavier Worthy full Wednesday, held out Thursday, practiced Friday.
  • Worthy missed two midseason games after shoulder injury in Brazil opener.
  • Friday’s final injury report will state Worthy’s designation for Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy was back on the field Friday for the team’s final practice of the week ahead of a “Sunday Night Football” game against the Detroit Lions at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

“(He) moved around good,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “We’ll see how he did after (practice). He did everything (Friday), so we’ll just see where he is at.”

Later, Worthy did not have an injury designation on the final injury report, meaning he is good to go for the game.

Last week, on the Sunday before Kansas City’s “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team downgraded Worthy to “questionable,” citing ankle and shoulder injuries. He ultimately played, recording seven touches for 51 yards.

All appeared well on Wednesday of this week, when the Chiefs listed Worthy as a full participant in practice. But then he was held out of Thursday’s practice session.

Worthy initially suffered a shoulder injury in the season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil, leading him to miss the following two games, against the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

The Chiefs’ offense looked noticeably sharper in Worthy’s Week 4 return against the Baltimore Ravens — a 37-20 victory in which the Worthy led the team with 83 receiving yards.

Cornerback Kristian Fulton and defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott are also off the injury report and expected to make their returns.
