Chiefs safety Justin Reid could have up to 30 friends and family cheering for him at the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans.
But for the Louisiana native, getting his loved ones inside the stadium will set him back thousands.
“We’re excited to play and we’re chasing glory. … But we’ve got to win just for me to break even,” Reid joked. In 2024, he got a bonus of $164,000 for winning the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 5:30 p.m. Central Time.
From Taylor Swift and Donna Kelce to Brittany Mahomes, Chiefs players’ loved ones have become fixtures at Arrowhead Stadium and beyond. If those supporters and other Chiefs players’ families want to have a seat in New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome, they’ll need to pay up.
Do Chiefs family and friends have to buy tickets to the Super Bowl?
Players from both the Chiefs and Eagles are guaranteed to be able to buy two tickets to the Super Bowl. The tickets are promised in the collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players Association.
If players want to buy additional tickets, they can get a limited number at face value, according to reporting from CBS Sports and NJ.com. The NFL does not release the price for face value tickets anymore, but the last time the league did, the lowest price was $950, according to Yahoo Sports in 2018.
For even more tickets, players will have to check out resale sites like everyone else. On StubHub, non-suite resale tickets range from $3,330 to $51,188 as of Feb. 3.

From the preseason through the playoffs, each NFL player gets two complimentary tickets to every home game, according to the NFL contract. Active, inactive and practice squad players are eligible, and the tickets are not to be sold.
For away games, each player can purchase two tickets from the best available tickets for public sale, immediately before they open to the public.
