It’s a Super Bowl LVIII rematch — in fact, make it a Super Bowl rematch times-two — as the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers meet on the West Coast.

These are two of the best teams in the NFL, and for many Chiefs fans, it’ll be their first chance to hear Tom Brady as a color commentator discussing his successor as the NFL’s best quarterback.

The game will be broadcast at 3:25 p.m. Central on FOX, WDAF (Channel 4) in Kansas City. In Wichita, the game will be on KSAS (Channel 24). Additionally, it will be broadcast on radio via KFNZ (96.5 FM) and WDAF (106.5 FM) in the KC area, and KNSS (98.7 FM) in the Wichita area.

Three storylines for Chiefs-49ers

Two of the NFL’s best

This is strength vs. strength: two of the NFL’s best teams and a two-time recent Super Bowl rematch. Oh, and the Chiefs (5-0) are still undefeated.

Andy Reid’s phenomenal record off the bye looms large, but the 49ers got a mini-bye with a Thursday night game last week. Here’s Star beat writer Jesse Newell’s prediction ... and why he thinks the 49ers could cause KC some issues.

How does the left tackle spot look?

Really, it’s about both tackles, not just one, but the all-important left tackle position has come under scrutiny since Kingsley Suamataia’s early season struggles and eventual benching for Wanya Morris.

For that, Morris is beat writer Blair Kerkhoff’s player to watch from Kansas City in this matchup. But that position is far from settled at this time.

Tom Brady on the mic

How about a broadcast storyline? That’s a first, but it’s something that’ll definitely be talked about as Tom Brady provides his analysis on Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Also notable? The entire country will see this game. It’s the first time a Sunday afternoon broadcast has gone national this season.
