Follow stats, scores & live commentary from Kansas City Chiefs vs. New Orleans Saints

The Kansas City Chiefs are back at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, and it’s a fun one tonight on “Monday Night Football.”

Against some names you might recognize, too.

The Chiefs (4-0) meet a New Orleans Saints team with plenty of KC ties. There are the former Chiefs on the roster, like Tyrann Mathieu. Oh, and you might recognize the quarterback. We’ll get to him in a bit.

Today’s Chiefs game is on ESPN, ESPN2 and, in Kansas City, KMBC 9. If you’re hoping to catch the Chiefs and the Royals, who play Game 2 of the ALDS tonight, we’ve also got you covered with some tips, here.

Let the fun begin!

Three storylines for Chiefs-Saints

Saints QB Derek Carr ... remember him?

You’ll undoubtedly remember Saints quarterback Derek Carr from his time with the Raiders. And even if you didn’t, Carr spoke about his plan to block out the noise at the loudest NFL stadium ahead of his return.

Carr threw for five touchdowns to one interception in his first two games, but he’s thrown a pick three straight weeks. The Chiefs would love to keep that trend going.

Speaking of quarterbacks: Let’s talk Patrick Mahomes

It’s certainly not time to panic about the Chiefs’ quarterback, who is down some wide-receiver weapons in the injured Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice. (The prognosis on Rice is ongoing, by the way.)

But Patrick Mahomes could use a get-right game on “Monday Night Football” ... that is, if his receivers can handle the bright lights (quite literally, by the way). He hasn’t looked like himself since the opener, even as KC enters Monday undefeated.

Kareem Hunt back in Kansas City

Kareem Hunt, of course, has been back with the Chiefs for a bit, but he spent his first week on the practice squad, and last week’s game was in Los Angeles.

That means Monday will mark Hunt’s first Chiefs appearance at home in a long, long while, something he said he’s been looking forward to for some time. He had 85 yards from scrimmage last week, and the Chiefs could use an encore against the Saints (2-2).
