Why we shouldn’t overlook the Chiefs’ best offensive development vs. the Eagles
Though the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense had major issues in the pass game, it showed huge signs of progress running the football in Monday’s 21-17 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In this video, KC Star reporter Jesse Newell and Brett Taveau (author of the Chiefs book “Unpacking Greatness” and a longtime high school offensive coordinator) take a closer look at the reasons the Chiefs had so much success running it directly at a vaunted Eagles defensive line.
KC had plenty of kudos to go around, with Isiah Pacheco, Creed Humphrey, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Joe Thuney and the Chiefs coaching staff all deserving part of the credit for the team’s ground-game prosperity.
