It was far from a Cruel Summer when the New York Jets landed future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, but there’s been a Blank Space at the NY quarterback spot ever since Game 1.
.At least until “Sunday Night Football,” when Zach Wilson and the Jets gave Kansas City all it could handle in an eventual 23-20 Chiefs win.
The Chiefs improved to 3-1 on the season with megastar Taylor Swift (and friends) in attendance for the marquee matchup. There was plenty of anticipation for Sunday’s game, even after Rodgers was injured in the season opener — setting up the showdown between quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Wilson.

A Trey Smith lead-block set up a touchdown run by Isiah Pacheco, and the Chiefs were in business. Mahomes became the fastest quarterback in NFL history to 200-career touchdown throws. Kansas City went up 17-0.
