Taylor Swift is joined by other celebrities at the Chiefs-Jets game at MetLife Stadium
We knew the stars would be out because the Chiefs are playing on “Sunday Night Football,” but they didn’t just fill the sky.
Stars of film and music also were at MetLife Stadium to see the Chiefs take on the New York Jets.
Hours before kickoff, one of the Chiefs’ best-known fans was at the stadium to say hello to Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. It was actor/Shawnee Mission West graduate Paul Rudd.
The biggest pop star in the world also was at the game, as expected.
Taylor Swift, who has become, well, close friends with Kelce arrived roughly 20 minutes before kickoff, and it didn’t take long for cameras to find her.
Swift, a 12-time Grammy Award winner, didn’t have the Chiefs’ windbreaker with her this time this time around. But she got to the stadium with some well-known friends.
In those videos, Swift was accompanied by actors Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, along with his wife, actress Blake Lively, a longtime friend of Swift’s..
Also expected to be at MetLife Stadium was Kelce’s mother, Donna, who has appeared in commercials this year.
The possible romance between Kelce and Swift has been the hottest topic in the country this week after she attended the Chiefs’ 41-10 win over the Bears at his request. It’s dominated social media, been mentioned on nearly every news channel and even been a topic for politicians.
The mania will continue for at least a little while longer as Swift came to see Kelce and the Chiefs play once again.
Saturday night sighting
Entertainment Tonight reported that Mahomes “booked a suite for his family and friends and Taylor could be joining that suite” at MetLife Field.
That didn’t appear to be the case.
But Swift and Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, also got together for dinner on Saturday night in New York, according to Entertainment Tonight. Lively and actress Sophie Turner were at the restaurant, along with Lively’s sister, Robyn Lively.
