Injuries suddenly pile up for Kansas City Chiefs as 5 players miss practice Wednesday
The Chiefs suddenly are a banged up team. Five players missed practice on Wednesday, four days before Kansas City (1-1) faces the Chicago Bears.
Linebackers Nick Bolton (ankle) and Willie Gay (quad), wide receivers Kadarius Toney (toe) and Richie James (MCL/knee) and running back Isiah Pacheco (hamstring) were held out of workouts.
Andy Reid said most of the players are “day-to-day.” But he identified James as a player whose injury could affect things in the longer term. James has one reception in two games but has been the Chiefs’ return specialist.
Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed — who was involved in several notable plays in Kansas City’s win over Jacksonville a week ago — was a limited practice participant Wednesday with a knee injury.
The Chiefs play host to the Bears on Sunday at 3:25 p.m.
