How to watch Kansas City Chiefs’ game vs. Chicago Bears: TV, kickoff time, odds
Chiefs-Bears in Week 3 has plenty of meaning for both teams, as Kansas City (1-1) looks to maintain momentum after last weekend’s victory at Jacksonville and Chicago (0-2) seeks its first triumph.
But the most meaningful game between the teams happened decades ago, and it wasn’t a regular-season game.
On Aug. 23, 1967, the teams met in an exhibition game before 33,041 at Municipal Stadium. The Chiefs were coming off the Super Bowl I loss to the Green Bay Packers, and the exhibition games that year marked the first time the NFL and AFL teams could face off in the preseason.
The Chiefs wanted to prove they were better than the 25-point losing margin to the Packers and rolled over the Bears 66-24, scoring 13 points in the final two minutes.
Legendary coach George Halas was in his final of his 40 seasons as coach, and his 324 victories rank third on the NFL’s career list. Fourth? It’s a tie between the Chiefs’ Andy Reid and the Cowboys’ Tom Landry at 270.
When and where is the Chiefs vs. Bears game?
The Chiefs meet the Chicago Bears at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense will be looking for a bounce-back home game, and Chicago’s defense could provide that opportunity.
What’s the channel and radio info for the Chiefs game?
You can watch the game on FOX (WDAF/Channel 4 in Kansas City).
It will be broadcast on radio via WDAF (106.5 FM) in the KC area or streamed on the Chiefs’ mobile app.
Can I watch the game without cable?
All NFL games can be streamed through NFL+ and Fubo.
Here is a viewer’s guide to watching the NFL.
What’s the betting line for Chiefs-Bears game?
The Chiefs opened as a 13-point favorite. That’s even after the offensive struggles through two weeks to start the year.
One bright spot for KC thus far? The defense. Chris Jones had a sack-and-a-half in his return, and KC allowed only 9 points to the Jaguars.
When did the Chiefs last play the Bears?
The teams have met 13 times, with the Bears holding a 7-6 lead in the series. The Chiefs won the previous meeting in 2019 by a score of 26-3.
In 2015, the last time the Bears played at Arrowhead Stadium, Chicago won 18-17. The road team has won the past three meetings.
What’s the Chiefs’ injury report?
The first injury report will be released Wednesday. No injuries were reported after the Chiefs defeated Jacksonville on Sunday.
Notably, tight end Travis Kelce (knee) made his return for that contest, as did Jones (holdout).
