Chiefs’ defensive end Frank Clark is active Sunday against New England Patriots

The Kansas City Chiefs will have a key member on defense available Sunday.

Defensive end Frank Clark (shoulder, illness) is active for today’s game against the New England Patriots.

Clark, who was listed as questionable entering the weekend, didn’t practice Thursday and Friday after becoming sick, but he did travel with the team to Foxborough.

How much Clark plays remains to be seen, but even having him in a rotational role will help the pass rush against Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

The Chiefs’ inactives are running back Damien Williams (rib), cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder), cornerback Rashad Fenton (hamstring), quarterback Chad Henne, offensive lineman Nick Allegretti, offensive lineman Jackson Barton and tight end Deon Yelder.

Williams, Claiborne and Fenton were previously ruled out on Friday’s injury report. Williams will miss his second straight game since suffering the rib injury in Week 11.

Safety Jordan Lucas, who did not practice Friday with an illness, is active.
