Third time’s a charm for three drivers at Lakeside Speedway

Three drivers won feature races for the third time this season on Friday night at Lakeside Speedway.

Yancy Shepard won for the third time in the USRA B-Modified division, leading the 15-lap event from the start. Brett Heeter also won his third race of the season in the USRA Stock Car division as did Gary Donaldson in the Grand National division.

In the USRA A-Modifieds, Dennis Fuqua took the lead on lap two of the 25-lap feature and won his second race of the season.

Lakeside also featured the Midwest Outlaw Vintage class, and Dennis Fair led all but one of the 10 laps in winning the race in his 1929 Essex, beating Jack Simmons in a 1955 Chevy Bel Air and Andy Wiles in a 1936 Buick.
