It’s a boy! And a girl! Kansas City Royals add two new babies to their 2025 roster
The Kansas City Royals roster just got a heck of a lot cuter in recent days. Two players have shared adorable photos of their newborns on social media, where teammates have dropped congratulations.
Outfielder Hunter Renfroe and his wife, Courtney, had a boy, Dustin Hunter Renfroe Jr., on Feb. 25.
“Our sweet boy was born February 25th at 9:28 am weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long,” Courtney wrote on Instagram.
“Dustin, you are the purest form of glory. We are so lucky we get to love your little miracle self earth side earlier than expected. Thankful that God’s timing is greater than ours! Thank heavens for little boys!”
Baby Justin has an older sister at home.
Pitcher John Schreiber, a former Red Sox teammate of Renfroe’s, and his wife, Becca, welcomed a girl, Madison Jean, on Feb. 24. Madison is their second child, too. Their son, Charlie, is 2.
“Welcome to the world baby girl,” Schreiber posted on his Instagram.
Baseball runs deep in the Schreiber family. Becca has watched John play baseball since they dated in high school. He proposed to her in the dugout at Comerica Park about six months after the Tigers picked him the 15th round of the 2016 MLB draft.
Becca has a heart-shaped baseball tattooed on her wrist.
