FIFA World Cup

Kansas Citians, what will you miss from this World Cup summer?

And just like that, the 2026 FIFA World Cup experience in Kansas City is coming to an end.

Saturday, July 11, marks the final day of the FIFA Fan Fest, and the last game hosted at Kansas City (Arrowhead) Stadium. Since the arrival of the four teams who selected their base camps to be in the greater Kansas City area and Lawrence, soccer fever took over.

Residents and travelers alike packed the stadium to watch Lionel Messi’s hat trick or Algeria and Austria’s heart-stopping finish, waited hours in line to get their exclusive charm bracelets, and partied all night long at the Power & Light District. The Orange Walk downtown was the most attended of the four North American rallies hosted by the Netherlands, and the team pep rallies became highlights for all.
