Chainsmokers, Tech N9ne among musical acts announced for KC’s World Cup Fan Fest
Soccer won’t be the only draw at the World Cup Fan Fest at the National World War I Museum and Memorial.
KC2026 announced there will be multiple concerts held at the Fan Fest, and a wide mix of musical genres will be represented.
Rapper Tech N9ne will kick things off on June 12, with the Chainsmokers, the Electronic Dance Music duo, scheduled to play the following day. Rapper Flo Rida will perform on June 19 and Cuban artist CimaFunk is scheduled for June 20.
Gabby Barrett, a country music artist who was an “American Idol” winner, will be the headliner on July 3. Alternative rock band The All-American Rejects will perform on July 11 and Tech N9ne will play that day, too.
Pam Kramer, the CEO of KC2026, said the organization was “really trying to engage both the core fan and maybe the soccer curious, or maybe the Kansas City curious. And again, I think that’s a chance to showcase, yes, jazz, but everything else in Kansas City, from a music standpoint or from an art standpoint.”
An example of highlighting the local art scene, the Back Alley Brass Band are one of the jazz groups that will play. They are a Kansas City act.
Other bands from the Kansas City area that are expected to perform include Hembree, Ha Ha Tonka, the Freedom Affair, Summer Breeze, Making Movies, Mireya Ramos and the Poor Choices, Hailes and The Phantastics.
General admission passes for the Fan Fest are free, but registration is required.
