World Cup fans are now securing tickets for matches, and Kansas City soccer fans can begin registering for the FIFA Fan Festival, the official party for the international soccer tournament.

Registration for Fan Fest, which will be at the National World War I Museum and Memorial, launched Thursday in three tiers: free general admission, Premium Garden Pass and Legacy Lounge Pass. Fans can register up to six GA passes per checkout.

General admission is expected to fill up quickly with capacity for the whole festival capped at 25,000 attendees at a time, with officials expecting turnover once a day. The Premium Garden and Legacy Lounge passes are for fans who would like to pay for a guaranteed spot.

Premium Garden passes are $55 a day; Legacy Lounge passes are $225 a day and include food and beverage. The lounge also has a capacity of 500 attendees.

Fans can register for digital passes online at the KC World Cup website. There, you can pick the days for when you want passes and receive a QR code approximately 48 hours before each date.

Fan Fest will be open on the days of games in Kansas City:

  • Argentina vs. Algeria on June 16
  • Ecuador vs. Curacao on June 20
  • Tunisia vs. Netherlands on June 25
  • Algeria vs. Austria on June 27
  • Round of 32 on July 3
  • Quarterfinal on July 11
  • United States Men’s National Team games (not in KC) on June 12, 19 and 25

The main stage will have 4,200 square feet of screen; twice the size of pop star Chappell Roan’s screen when she performed at World War I Museum and Memorial, KC2026 CEO Pam Kramer said.

More than 600,000 fans are expected in the area for the tournament; Kansas City World Cup matches have had tickets bought from 187 countries, Kramer said.

  • June 11-14, 16: Heartland Hello
  • June 19-21: Sports Town, USA
  • June 24-27: The World’s Game
  • July 3-5: Home team
  • July 9-11: KC Creates

The temporary structure for Fan Fest is expected to begin construction in early May. Local vendors and restaurants are still being decided; concerts and local music acts will be performing also, and announced at a later date.
