The postseason honors keep on rolling in for Tyler Badie.

The Missouri Tigers running back made The Associated Press’ All-America second team announced Monday.

Badie, according to the school, is Mizzou’s first running back to make an All-America team since Devin West, who earned first-team honors from Sporting News in 1998. Badie was selected to the Walker Camp Football Foundation’s second team All-America list last week as well.

It’s been quite the award season for the New Orleans native. Badie earned unanimous AP All-SEC first team honors and was also a first-team all-conference selection by the SEC coaches. Additionally, he was one of three finalists for Doak Walker Award, though that honor was won by Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III.

Badie finished the regular season third in the country with 1,604 rushing yards, good for 133.7 per game. He was second in the nation with 1,939 all-purpose yards. He recorded 14 rushing touchdowns and 18 total touchdowns on the year.

The Mizzou running back recorded more than 200 rushing yards in five games in 2021 as well, becoming the first SEC player to do so in a single season this century.

Badie also made program history by passing West’s single-season rushing record of 1,578 yards, set in 1998.

Mizzou center Michael Maietti was honored by the Associated Press as well, as a third-team selection.

Maietti was a key leader for Missouri’s offensive line, whose blocking played a crucial role in Badie’s success this season. He has spent the last two years in Columbia after transferring from Rutgers and has recorded 55 career starts at center.

Mizzou football plays Army on Dec. 22 in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas.
