Mizzou football nabs Indiana cornerback as 10th commitment of 2021 recruiting class
Missouri Tigers football coach Eliah Drinkwitz scored outside of the state’s borders for his 10th recruit of the class of 2021, nabbing three-star cornerback Daylan Carnell.
Carnell, from Indianapolis, announced his commitment Monday via Twitter. Carnell is listed at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds and was ranked No. 457 in the nation by 247Sports. His top three consisted of MU, Purdue and West Virginia.
Carnell is the first commitment for the Tigers since they landed Florida defensive back Davion Sistrunk in mid-May. Since taking over as Mizzou’s new head coach in December, Drinkwitz has heavily recruited within state borders, but he’s grabbed a few out-of-state commitments, as well.
Here are the other nine members of Mizzou’s class of 2021:
- Four-star defensive end Travion Ford (St. Louis)
- Three-star running back Taj Butts (St. Louis)
- Three-star offensive lineman Connor Tollison (Jackson)
- Three-star quarterback Tyler Macon (East St. Louis)
- Three-star tight end Gavin McKay (Memphis)
- Three-star cornerback Darius Jackson (Red Oak, Texas)
- Three-star tight end Ryan Hoerstkamp (Washington)
- Three-star defensive tackle Mekhi Wingo (St. Louis)
- Three-star defensive back Davion Sistrunk (Melbourne, Florida)
