About Chicago State (4-10): The Cougars are on a four-game losing streak. KenPom ranks them No. 352 of 353 teams in the nation. They’re led by Xavier Johnson and Andrew Lewis, both averaging double figures in scoring. It’s been a long season for the Cougars as they travel to Mizzou Arena for another buy game.

About Missouri (7-4): The Tigers are on a three-game winning streak, including likely their best victory of the season at Braggin’ Rights against Illinois. They’ve bounced back after an embarrassing loss to Charleston Southern, giving themselves a chance for a bid in the NCAA Tournament. The trio of Smiths from Dru, Mark and Mitchell have been stellar in the starting lineup. KenPom ranks Mizzou at 53.

Prediction: After a week off, Mizzou is back in action for one of its final nonconference games of the season. Chicago State, somewhat notoriously, is one of the worst teams in the nation. It should mean an easy victory for the Tigers as Mizzou coach Cuonzo Martin also empties the bench. We’ll call it a comfortable victory as Mizzou works through any kinks ahead of SEC play.

Missouri 64, Chicago State 42
